A glass a wine or low count alcohol is fine while breastfeeding. Wait at least an hour or so before feeding. Best thing to make sure is pump some milk before hand that way if they get hungry before your sure it's out of your system, you can just give them the pumped milk.

I couldn't find the test strips at Walmart but I've drank a smirnoff and nurse a half hour later and it didn't do anything to her.

You can buy test strips at target or really any store that sells nursing supply's. You put a drop of your milk on the strip and it tells you if your milk has any alcohol in it. I've found a glass of wine is fine, it doesn't register on the strip.
