I am skeptical after finding out my babies Umbilical Cord is a SUA (Single Umbilical Artery). Usually, an Umbilical Cord has One Vein and Two Arteries. My Umbilical Cord has One Vein, One Artery. 1-500 woman have this but, it's the most common issue in pregnant woman. 75% of Woman are most likely going to have a healthy baby with no issues. The other 25% could be heart problems, kidney problems, etc. my Doctor told me everything looks fine in my pregnancy and, I have nothing to worry about. My baby has a healthy heart rate anywhere between 160bpm-170bpm. Also, baby is growing exactly where baby should be. He wouldn't have even talked about the SUA until I did. He said he he's multiple patients with that and, everything turns out fine. I'm not really worried about that, but with this glucose test, I forgot to take my prenatal yesterday, and I am afraid this glucose test will affect my baby...

I'd estimate that the drink contains a full meal's equivalent of sugar (hence the fast or in some cases, protein-only meal beforehand). If you've had sweets and juice, or the regular amount of sugar at any point, you have nothing to worry about. That drink is among the least harmful things women ingest during pregnancy and it's ONLY the sugar rush that makes us sick. I recommend speaking to your doctor to see about an alternative. I did not take the drink--I ate what felt like a disgusting amount of gummy bears.
