wanting to get married really soon after I have the baby. we obviously don't have the funds right now for a huge wedding, should we do something small or just wait and do it big? so many people Kind of turn their noses up about that...we just want something small and intimate. he doesn't have a lot of family that's involved in his life so it's mainly a lot of my family that would wanna be there.
My husband and I spent a whole 150$ on our wedding. we didn't have a court wedding, it was done on a beach with a wedding minister guy, the whole package for pictures and chairs and a whole set up was 150$ and we still got to invite as many people as we wanted.
Spend the money on a trip to vegas and do it there! We did! They had a live streaming thing so our families could watch, and it was way less stress and way more fun than a big ceremony. :)
A lot of people told us to wait and have a bigger wedding, but we didn't and I am so happy we didn't wait. We had it at our church which was completely free to use, so if you have something like that or outside depending on the time of year. Also, we just looked at the other huge expenses and decided what we needed and didn't need... as far as food, we decided to go with a dessert bar instead of a meal and got married at 2:30 so it wasn't weird to not have food. We also didn't do alcohol and since we were just having dessert, it made sense. And then we also didn't have dancing. It saved us a ton of money on a DJ. We had someone on sound since we had it at church for our music during the ceremony... and then we did our first dance as a married couple. And the father/daughter dance and mother/son dance because those were still important to us. It was short and sweet but I loved our wedding day so much.
do whatever will make you happy!! there are cheap ways to do it! I'm getting married in less than 2 weeks (at 30 weeks) after about 4 months of planning. figured it'd be easier than afterward her birth...would get put off bc I'd wanna be in shape or wait until baby is a lil older, etc. I wanted to keep ours smaller too, it'll be 80, if not close to it. we had wanted to elope in Kauai, but figured some of our family wouldn't be too happy about that.
we had a small court house wedding...we did not have the money at the time and he was about to leave for the Navy and we wanted to be together. we invited people we were close too and had a big BBQ cookout after. it was nice and we have been married 9 years. to me the most important this is the marriage and a big wedding would have wasted our money...eventually we will do a vow renewal and maybe do something bigger since we have a little more money now.
Do w.e I haven't decided if we're eloping or doing a big one I don't talk to anyone on my side so I'm not really wanting an big one but we are waiting for a good time to do it no hurry for us.
It's not about what others think. Some people do the courthouse and then set up later for the wedding. So it really depends on what you guys want.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...

@kimberlyobann, go small! I had a big wedding, and while it was the most beautiful day EVER, it was super stressful and expensive. I can't imagine doing it with a little one. I advise all my engaged friends to go small or have a destination wedding.
