any tips on getting a 2 month old in her own crib to sleep and not on mom or dad?
unfortunately we let her sleep on us with a boppy while we sleep in a recliner (so not ideal I know, don't judge!) cause she was a month early and so small.
I don't want the habit to continue forever so I'm looking for some advice and tips on how to help get her in her pack and play or crib at night...thanks mamas!
@rachh40, absolutely mama just stick with it & baby will get used to it.
thanks everyone, we made it 35 min...that's a start right!? haha @reaganmommy2015 @bodaciousb6
@rachh40, warm bath, run down with lotion or oil, swaddle, and rocked to sleep helps my baby. if they can rol, then you shouldn't swaddle. but since their movements are super smooth yet, it's recommended so they dont wake the selves up. you can get sleeper sacks or armless swaddled if you're really scared, but if baby can't roll over, you're in the clear.
@rachh40, for the longest I would rock her to sleep and when she would be out move her to her crib
@reaganmommy2015, that makes me feel better...some mom's and some of my friends make it sound like it's so easy to get them to sleep on their own and that they just won't cry. well I won't let my kid just scream her head off in her crib. it's not as easy for some, as it is for others
Oh girl don't worry my youngest who just turned 1 she sleept in her rock and sleep till she was 5 months then I moved her to her crib
Yeah unfortunately she didn't from birth. sleeping on me she literally sleeps 6 hours at a time at night and only wakes up once to eat. we all get sleep and it's working. but I have this guilt in the back of my mind that I'm doing the wrong thing @breebunny
not sure but I hope whatever you try it works for you, mine slept in bassinet and crib from birth
did he ever try to roll on his side or anything? I'm worried about her not being able to move if she gets in a bad position swaddled...I know I prob sound crazy or whatever but first time mom, I worry about everything unfortunately @edomke
@rachh40, yes it's a start try a shirt 👚 that you have been wearing all day put that in the crib with the baby 👶
