so I'm not producing milk like I was before work. so now I have to pump enough for tomorrow. only problem is I'm not getting enough at all. I ate oatmeal, drink Gatorade and water and I took my prenatal vitamin. what can I do. I'm doing the pump and rest thing but it's only bringing in 1.5 oz or less
@chelsea728, I work full time so I can't pump every 2 hours
I think it can for all different reasons unfortunately. I'd just try as much as you can of all these tips and it'll come back. Make sure you're drinking a lot of water.
Try a supplement like in the morning or during the day just one bottle and then use that time to pump every two hours and put all the milk from that time in the same bottle and do that for a few days to help fill the gap. I hate to offer supplements but I did it once just to keep him full and now he never had to supplement again how old is you child btw
@chelsea728, but he need milk since I work during the week
It will come back just keep doing what your doing you supply drops plenty of times for many reason don't stress it cuz that would make it harder for it to come back just take it day by day
@bianca_rose, can milk just decrease overnight. that's basically what happened
@bianca_rose, I'm doing that now (power pumping) but I don't think it's working for me.
hmm might have to supplement with formula tomorrow like do a bottle with half formula half breast milk. but I'd just try to keep pumping every 2 hrs or so if you can....I don't know if there's much you can do for instant milk supply.
Lactation smoothies doubled my supply, look up power pumping, I heard that works, I don't pump so I can't say it from experience
only problem. is I need it for tomorrow. I'm not going to be able to get that by tomorrow. @mdomke22

Is it wrong that I want to give this little boy formula?? He is not my child but his mom can't/won't do what she needs to so she can produce more milk so I'm having to feed not only my child, but this little boy as well... I'm not able to pump enough for him and my daughter so I'm just doing this. I'm sick of it.
Ladies I called my insurance about breast pump and they said with their insurance in order to get a pump I get a prescription from doctor then I call 3 different numbers to see what my insurance covers but the only thing is I have to wait til baby is born to call and get pump so I want to at least buy a hand pump which do you ladies recommend for hand pump and when I can get a pump from insurance please n thank you 💖💖
I was going to do strictly breastfeeding but I'm going to actually do breastfeeding and pumping (bottle) because if not than she'll be hooked and will want my breast only and wouldn't work if she is left with her dad or something lol..
Anyone else doing both???
Breastfeeding moms: so I am planning on going on a 3 day vacation with my hubby & a bunch of friends to Catalina in May, (my baby won't be going with us) and I do not wanna be pumping and dumping every 2 hours out there.. so if I don't pump or breastfeed for 3-4 days, will my milk supply drop significantly? 😩😩 & I don't know how I'm gonna deal with the engorgement pain if I can't find time to pump out there.
So I'm trying to order my breast pump though my insurance but I'm not due until December do I have to wait to order it??
@bianca_rose, I'm drinking lots of water but I can drink more
