OMG ranting!!!
My mum got married to a man I can't stand!!! He doesn't care about anything but himself and wants nothing to do with me, button or my husband and only wants it to be his kids in the picture. When they got together my mum started to ditch us but anyway I already told my mum before the wedding we coundnt afford to buy them a present but we got them a card and I helped out loads before the wedding and on their big day (I even made their wedding cake and 250 chocolate truffles for them as their favours) Ever since the wedding she keeps asking for a present even though I've told her I can't afford it as we have loads to do and buy for the baby but she keeps asking. It's really upsetting me as I feel bad what should I do?!

Tell her to stop being so rude. Who asks someone for a present!? A present is a gift. Not an expectation. You made their Wedding cake & favours & I'd be over the moon if my sister/mum or child (when their older) Did that for me. She should be grateful.

She shouldnt be so bloody rude, ur having a baby and have other things to buy and concentrate on, wonder if he is saying to her oh they never bought anything ect, so she feels the need to ask to shut him up, but even if that is the case they shouldnt expect anything especially with all u have done to help, i hate it when people expect things to given, they take people for granted, leave them to it hun and concentrate on u and ur little family xx

Tell her the cake and favours were her present. Cake and favours are a huge expense when you're getting married so that's a great present!! Xx

OMD really? What kind of mother does that? You told her you can't afford it and she's still pushing you? She's essentially trying to take from her grandchild as anything you spend on her and her husband is less you spend on your child who needs it! Even if you could afford it how can she ask you to get her a gift? So rude. I can't stand it when people expect gifts like it's their right and not a privilege. Your mum is out of order and that's even if her husband is the one behind he asking.

😳 how rude to ask for a gift! As the others have said cake and favours are expensive to buy she should count herself lucky you did them for her. That to me is worth more than any gift as its so personal and thoughtful x
