Labor Story!!
So Friday Sept 16 I had minor contractions all day that weren't really painful at all just 10 minutes apart and uncomfortable. That night I started having them every 3 minutes but they still weren't painful, so I slept and the next morning starting around 9am the contractions were still 3 minutes apart and the pain had gotten a little worse. By 1pm that day (Saturday) they hurt enough that I went to the Family Birth Place here and got monitored and checked but I was only fingertip, so not even a full centimeter. Basically they said go home until your in enough pain for medicine. So I went home and tried to go for a walk and then take a bath and rest. Well, Sunday morning they were really strong and around 3pm they started hurting so bad I would cry. So I went for another walk and tried to take a bath but it did nothing for the pain. At 8pm I went back to Family Birth Place and got checked and boom I was at 5cm!! I went from fingertip to 5cm in one day! So they admitted me and gave me a dose of fentonal through an IV for the contractions but that medication is not good for the baby so they told me they would have to stop giving it an hour before i started pushing so it would be completely worn off. By 10pm I was at 8cm and they stopped the medicine. I started pushing at 11:10 with no epidural or any other meds and at 12:35am on Sept 19, my baby boy was born!! Honestly it hurts really bad to do it with no medicine! But I say if that's what your heart is set on(like mine was) then go for it, you can do it! Your body was made to do it and people have been having baby's for hundreds of years with no medicine! He was born with so much hair, and he stopped crying as soon as they laid him on me. It was the best feeling ever and how they say the pain totally disappears after you see your baby is true!!
@bodaciousb6, yea that's how I was too! I knew I wanted to try not to have meds but I wasn't against it or anything I tried to keep an open mind because nothing in those moments is certain and i wouldn't want to be all stressed just cuz it didn't go exactly according to plan. My mom had two c-sections and idk if this is true but she said they move around your insides that are in the way to get to the baby and she said she felt them go back into place after everything 😭😭😭 scares the hell out of me!
yeah.. @giananiicole it sounds terrible but i go into birth knowing all my options and decide in the moment. I would hate going into wanting every drug possible just to find out I could do it. or vice versa. I would hate to want a natural birth and then get an epidural because I could be sad. And I've seen epidural slow down progress too! and that's terrifying. I would hate to get a c section.m ;-;
@bodaciousb6, yea I've heard that it hurts bad afterwards for a really long time. My friend has back problems from it still and her son is 6 months old!
@giananiicole, yes, it was a great experience I keep hearing of enter Mark pain from the epidural.. And I don't want that.
Wow your labor was so quick! That's awesome. I was only in labor at the hospital for that much time too but I was laboring at home that day for like 5 hours before I went to the hospital. I'm glad I didn't get it either. I mean it hurt like nothing I've ever experienced but I'm glad I got to. @bodaciousb6
@leahsmommi, I told my SO whenever we have another I'm probably gonna get the epidural!! 😂😂 once is enough lol yea I was yelling in the car on the way there when he would take turns too fast because it hurt so bad!! @bodaciousb6 yea the Fentonal helped me the first time for like 45 minutes but then the second time it only helped for maybe 20!
@giananiicole, I got fetonol and I just got a dose. ;-; it helped for like ten minutes. that was a great birth story!
@giananiicole, how amazing!!!!!!! I did my first w no meds too! Now that I'm on my second I'm really considering the meds lol. I'm so glad you and baby are doing great and that baby felt mommys love and calmed down. Beautiful story! Its crazy how you took so much pain at home, I was four when I was admitted and a raging bitch in the car on the way their, it hurt lol
So I keep feeling these lil sharp pains on my right side. You do get pains like that before you start your period right.? Remember I had that dark brown spotting for a few hours last month on the 22. My period suppose to start today.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Contractions are 9 minutes apart and painful... On way to hospital my dr already called said to go straight to registration, so they can check me in then they will take me to maternity... Getting anxious..
Smh. I went to the hospital contractions 30 minutes apart and they sent me home. Now I'm home and still in pain 😢 something has got to give.

Got to the hospital at 4 am to start my pitocin, well.. I was put on the drip at 430 am , and was 4cm dilated and 80 percent effaced, an hour later. The nurse came in to check me, hours later, and I was at 6 cm. I got the epidural at 6cm.. But it didn't work for me, no more than 20 minutes later, I couldn't take the pain, I was screaming and crying.. And felt everything.. most terrible pain ever, I called for my nurse to come in and she checked me again, said I was ready to deliver, babys head ...
@giananiicole, lol right and don't even think of trying that speed bump you better try the curb lol
