So, last night, I had the night off from mommy duty. I use this app (the highest rated app I could find) to track my drinks to make sure I was in the clear when I felt comfortable to breastfeed again. I had 9 drinks (3 beers and 6 mixed drinks). I started drinking at 9:30 and went to bed around 4:30. It is now 12:30 EST. Could I really still have a BAC of .16?? I am not feeding my daughter (just using my freezer stash and pumping and dumping my boobies), I'm just shocked that it's telling me I can't even legally drive.

If you're drinking a bunch of water and peeing then you're fine

they have alcohol breast milk strips at the store. it test your milk to see if its safe yet. supposedly it works good. (i wouldnt know from experience as i dont drink) but try that if you want to really be sure.

@housfullofgrls, I drank like a half gallon of iced tea, peeing, ate 2 lunchables and a quesadilla last night and had breakfast this morning.

@emmajeremy2627, I've heard too many mixed reviews between they don't pick up any alcohol and then they pick up alcohol when there wasn't any, so the price to me just isn't worth it (I am way too cheap for that). I can just give her freezer milk all day.

Those strips almost always test positive, I wouldn't trust them. I'm sure you're fine now. Safe to drive, safe to nurse. Takes about an hour for 1 drink to get through your system. If you're eating an drinking that helps too. Don't trust apps
