well some people on here like to get castor oil crazy at 36-37 weeks. I already had my baby I didn't do anything to bring on labor and had her at 39+3
Well that's when they should start listening to their dr then @mrscruz0530 if you go against drs orders and something happens bad to the baby there's a law out there that states you can be charged legally idk I was reading over some stuff last night about things like this but another thing is if you wanna go just to your due date it's fine at 37 weeks to try to start the dilation process gently but nothing drastic just help your body along with its natural process that is if you've started dilating already like I have
Lol true. I think everyone is taking is so seriously because someone reading that could be misinformed and think that's full term and they might try to start inducing themselves.

Glow is not the ACOG. And 39 is full term!
The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists has redefined the meaning of "term pregnancy." Pregnancies used to be considered at term, and babies ready for delivery, any time after 37 weeks. If mom went past that, those last three weeks (or longer) were almost seen as a write-off. Now, however, after a couple of decades that have seen too many C-sections and record numbers of babies in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), those last few weeks of pregnancy are being taken seriously. That's why "term pregnancy" is now being broken down into distinct categories... @mommytomckenzie is correct. 37 is term but they now call it early term, drs won't induce unless medically necessary before 39 weeks, but usually will not stop a natural labor after 37 weeks either.
39-40 is considered full term. 37-38 is early term. Anything below 37 is preterm. Anything after 40 is late term
