Induction experiences please! Im getting really nervous as the date when they'll decide whether or not to induce me grows closer. Id just really like to be prepared and know what goes on but my doctor said he wont discuss it with me unless they decide to do it...So what were your experiences with it? The good and the bad please!

It was the longest days of my life. I wasn't dilated or anything when they started my induction process. I went in on a Sunday and Tinley was born Thursday morning.

I've done it twice no bad experiences I was induced on June 6th and 6 a.m they started my iv put pitocin which is the meds to jump start labor in it once I reached about 4 cm my doctor came in and broke my water after that I was told that I could get an epidural whenever I felt I could no longer take the pain so I did at 6 cm after that I was relaxed slept up until it was time for me to push I started pushing around 1 about 1:25 I had my babies and I was done it's nothing to it trust me

Mine was so easy, I got my pitocin around 4pm, I was already 4cm tho, i didn't even know it. I got checked the day before and I wasn't dilated at all, went to get induced and I was 4cm I had what they call "silent labor" I didn't feel contractions at all, but anyways I was induced and had my baby girl at 12:58am they told me she wouldn't be here till 7am at the earliest. But I did push for 2 hours, but I got the epidural so it wasn't painful. I think being induced takes a lot of stress off the mommy because we have doctors to talk us through everything and nothing is really rush, unlike going in, in full labor aggravated and in pain.

haven't had my baby yet but have done lots of research. everyone's body reacts differently to pitocin. let baby come when they are ready as it can be risky if your body does not dilate. baby can become stressed sometimes ending in csection.

I got induced with my baby, he's now almost 4 months and I got induced when I was 42w5d. We went in on a Sunday morning and I got pitocin. It took for freaking ever, I didn't have Oakley until 1:45am the following Wednesday. I ended up having a c section, not because of getting induced but because he was simply too big to fit through my pelvis. My labor experience was strange, I didn't feel any contractions at all. I just chilled and binge watched Netflix the whole time haha!

Id be getting induced for medical reasons. I have Gestational diabetes and my baby seems to be slowing down on growing. Id rather not be induced but it might be best for baby if i am. @mrsnewman10511
