I literally hurt so bad, this second degree tear is horrible! the stitches hurt, it hurts to pee, to walk, everything!😭
I also went through this and all I can say is that it will eventually get better with time. I just wanted to cry all the time cus it hurt so bad and I was also having a lot of cramping. I couldn't even get out of bed!!! @heatherlg88 is absolutely correct!!! Try not to do anything at allll. I was very lucky and blessed to have my hubby with me for a week and a half and he did everything for me even helping me get up from the bed and sofa.
the less you do. the faster u will heal. I tried to do too much when I got home. and it made it hurt so much worse. just try to focus on ur healing & the baby. don't clean or do anything.
I know what u mean girl!! I had 2nd degree tearing, plus he had to repair my urethra & I also have a dividing wall in my vagina that my baby ripped through. lol it gets better, it's gonna get worse first. the witch hazel pads helped me so much, I'm on my 4th container. I bought "tucks" hemmoroid pads from Walmart. (2nd container of those). also use that pain relieving spray they give u, I went through two bottles! it helps to pee if you use that water squirt bottle they gave you while u pee & also try to sit forward so the pee doesn't hit the stitched area. it really helps. soaking in the hot bath helps too. I soaked like 4 times per day. it's been two weeks now & I'm feeling so much better. it is itchy now because I'm healing, & it no longer hurts to pee!!! also have u pooped yet? u need to be taking stool softeners. I pooped about a week in a half after I had her & it wasn't so bad, I think my stitches were dissolved by then.
I'm on my 3rd week, mine aren't dissolved yet but I got them checked yesterday and she said its healing and bruising and swelling is gone. she said it should be good by the 6th week. (I also had a 2nd degree) did they prescribe you the motrin pills? its supposed to help with the pain. squirt bottle and witch hazel pads are God sent! its hard taking care of a newborn (and breastfeeding) and keeping up with yourself when literally every sitting position hurts but it gets better, I'm still bleeding but its nothing like it was in the hospital.
