This will be our 3rd Christmas together. My SO is severely allergic to cats and my sister wants to have the holidays at her house. Well she has 5 cats and my SO, after an hour being in the house, is miserable. He said he doesn't want to go. I don't want to go without him and I don't want my family to feel like he isn't welcomed. Id do it at my house, but my kitchen is terrible. The previous tenants destroyed it and the floors are permanently stained with grease. I also don't have any chairs for my kitchen table. What should I do? I don't want to force my SO to suffer and I don't think having the holidays here is a good idea. Should I go without him? Not go at all? :(

if she vacuums and washes her laundry properly and gives her cats a bath and he take some Benadryl or Claritin D his symptoms should be a lot less. when people are allergic to cats they are allergic to the proteins in their skin when they shed.

she has 5 cats and lived there for almost 6 years lol it's going to need more than just that. We had to rip out the carpet, clean out vents/air filters, and wipe down every square inch of our house to make it livable for him.
