Does GD always = higher birth weight? I'm a FTM who just received a GD diagnosis last week, so this is still all REALLY new to me. Obviously I know GD can lead to increased birth weight, but curious if anyone had a different experience? To be honest my husband and I now have this idea in our heads that baby girl is going to weigh 9 lbs+, but I just don't know how realistic that is.

How has it affected your pregnancy and baby's growth? Cause my son weighed 3lb10oz at my 30w sono last week and my ob made it sound like my baby is super huge 😐@housfullofgrls

My baby is normal. I struggle a bit with the diet but it's not too bad

Watch your carbs!!! 15 carbs is a snack and 35/40 carbs is a meal 🙃

@canaryv, It didn't at all! I was diet controlled and only gained 14 pounds my whole pregnancy. I was all baby. 5 days postpartum and I was 4 pounds lighter than my pre-pregnancy weight. My daughter was a normal size. 7 lbs 3 oz at birth.

Wow that's great! I've gained about 22lbs already and baby is only about 4lbs lol so I hope I don't put in too much more@haleymclain1121

My daughter was around 4 pounds at 30 weeks also!
