This is my third pregnancy. While I'm not a veteran mom by any means (my oldest is only 3), I consider myself experience at least in terms of pregnancy. I went to my appt yest. I'm 14 weeks and 3 days. My midwife always has a student with her and I never really mind. She asked me the usually questions and finally brings in the Doppler to check on baby. My last ultrasound was 3 weeks prior. And of course at 14 weeks she tells me it's difficult sometimes at that gestation to find baby. So the student starts searching and is pressing all around my belly, but not finding anything. My midwife is asking me different questions, obviously trying to distract me from how long it's taking to find a heart beat. Finally she tried... But there was still nothing. This was the first time in 3 pregnancies they haven't found a heartbeat with the Doppler.
I went back to the lobby and waited for an ultrasound. And for what felt like forever but couldn't have been more than 10 minutes, every possible scenario ran thru my head. Finally they called me back and thankfully they found baby right away. I've never been so afraid of an ultrasound as I was at that moment. My heart goes out to all the mommies who aren't so lucky. The mommies who don't find relief with the ultrasound because there's no heartbeat to be found. 💔💔💔
I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I had a miscarriage in Jan. When I went 2 my high risk dr,they said they have 2 do an ultrasound for their records. I prayed 4 a miracle, dat I would hear a heartbeat, although I knew my baby was gone😢 Still so hard 2 think about it. But I have been blessed again at 21wks pregnant with my rainbow baby girl😍
I was sitting in the little waiting area on the verge of tears when it happened to me
I had the same thing happen to me and thank god they found the baby's heartbeat with the ultrasound..... but I was only 10 weeks at that point and it really was hard to find the heartbeat. But I saw a girl on here saying she was 16 weeks and had the same issue
this is my 3rd baby boy..they all love to lay low.that has happened to me my heart stopped too then they used another machine and found it fast
I haven't heard the babies heartbeat once since I got pregnant and I'm fifteen weeks tomorrow. we couldn't find it with he Doppler either the one time I did have it done but my baby is healthy and good. it's kind of weird how that works
If me not finding ultrasound and pregnancy tests pranks funny, five days after my child’s heart stopped beating as she was on my chest, makes me uptight. I guess I’m uptight. 🤷🏼♀️
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
I promise. The worrying never stops. Ugh with me getting pregnancy exactly right after is a miscarriage is hard.. I would get a ultrasound every week if I could. I can't find my fetal doppler. That kept me calm a little. 😩😢. Hope my baby growing properly.
Hello I am knew here. Im looking to make some new friends on here. My sister told me about her experience and meeting a new friend whom she feels like she has known forever. I am married and I work from home. I am also a college student. I have two boys and they are the best.
I can never find the babies heartbeat on the doppler and it has me worried! I have not had any kicks or flutters so that makes me even more worried! If something happened to my baby would I know and miscarry soon or would i just find out my next ultrasound?
This is absolutely the worst feeling in the world. I lost a baby at 16 weeks several years ago and this time at 16 weeks when the dr came in and wanted to listen to the heartbeat they were unable to find him. I was so scared and about in tears right there on the table. I think the only thing that kept me strong was the fact that I didn't want to cry in front of my daughter. I also found out at that appt that I had an anterior placenta so that was why they couldn't find his heartbeat. I thank God every day this Lil guy is ok and will b here in just a few short weeks now.
