Any moms been put on high blood pressure meds?

I was. From about 26 weeks through the end of my pregnancy.

Did you have any side effects? Did you have to be induced? Was baby healthy and ok? @darianweaver I just wanna hear from someone who actually been thru it

No side effects! My son was 100% healthy and perfect. I did not have to be induced either. I was worried about it too but it really does help.

That gives me peace of mind. I just picked up the meds today and started it. Just nervous bc this isn't something I or anyone I know has dealt with @darianweaver

You're starting it WAY later than I did. It'll be okay girly. I know taking things during pregnancy can be a little scary. But it'll help you and baby!

I was on labetalol before and during pregnancy...I had no side effects...still on it and was induced ending in case section for other reasons.

did you start feeling dizzy once on the med? if so it might just take a few days to get used to it. my brother was recently put on a high blood pressure medication and was dizzy for a day or two....I've been on it so long I don't remember if I felt dizzy at first.

I just started them today but I was feeling dizzy on and off the last few weeks @eskawho I hope my body will adjust quickly

I hope so too...just make sure to take it slow while getting up and if you fell dizzy at all sit and drink some water. might not be terrible to get a blood pressure cuff for home to check when you feel off.

I was actually looking at some online today I'm thinking I might get one it would be nice to be able to check even after just to make sure I'm back on track @eskawho

I have a wrist one and I like it...I even brought it with to the Dr to see if it would read the same. it was pretty close with theirs so made me feel even better. my blood pressure is always elevated at the Dr's, has been like that for as long as I can remember...no matter how long I have rested lol but my readings at home are always normal.

Mine was rising while I was there they took it each time and each time it got higher and higher smh. I was afraid to leave cuz of how bad that sounded @eskawho
