Can anyone shed any light on what the difference for your baby is when buying this 'New' Aptamil which is more expensive than the normal one please? Even the pharmacist in boots said the nutritional values are almost identical, is this just another rip off? Hmmm
@sara-lou, thanks Hun that's a great help I'll know what to expect x
@riab1985, I have a question I bf all my babies apart from our newest addition which I have felt crap for but I have a condition which I am on tablets for which if I bf there is a 50/50 chance it would make my baby blind as its passed through my milk so do you still think breast is always best? X
Max had the newer one whilst in hospital as that's what they had to supply us with & I had the normal one at home. He didn't react any differently when we changed him only. They say when you go from ready made to the powder they can get a bit constipated while they get used to it.
@bl1995, great thanks Hun I'm going to do that 😘😘
was a joke!! hense the 😉 face after the comment. as this is all professionals say. a joke.
@riab1985, I agree with @lucyjade .. we support each other on this app.. "breast is best" isn't the most supportive comment. I always feel like belting my midwife with her "breast is best" book whenever she shoves it in my face 😂😂
In regard to the forumla, I don't think there's a massive difference Hun! Xx
I picked up the new one in ready made bottles when baby was first born and carried on with the normal formula when home😊 its the same brand so you'll be okay to do so xx
@riab1985, not everyone can breastfeed. please take that into consideration when commenting.
all the formulas are about the same. ... they just add a few extra words to get you to buy.
@lucyspear., yeah the pharmacist said there was a slight more difference in nutrition but not very significant. @saraelisa I think I'll be getting the normal version after hospital as I've bought the ready made ones now, and if baby reacts differently and not liking it I'll go back to new one xxx
The pro has 15 more vitamins and minerals then the original
cow and gate and aptimal are the same company and its same ingredients just alot cheaper my hv told me. @hawkie75 x
I've asked so many questions regarding both types of milk. The more fancier (left) milk, the differences are only in the oil I think @hawkie75 there really isn't much to it. So I've gone for the right, I've seen the reviews and I've heard mums say babies have struggled on the fancier looking milk because they couldn't digest the milk with all the loaded up ingredients. Hope that helps xx
@littleelf85, the pharmacist in boots looked at back of both for ages and couldn't see hardly any difference, he said the new version had slightly more fat in but it was that insignificant that he couldn't see it making a difference...soto me that just says they are trying to rip us off!!!
@littleelf85, I bet there's hardly any difference for baby! I was shopping for my hospital bag and mistakenly picked up the new version (in ready made bottles), do you think I'll be ok carrying on at home with the normal version? I hate being ripped off for no bloody reason lol
said it was a joke....a piss take out of professionals who always say that... hense the wink face after
