my baby was born yesterday and in trying to breastfeed. yesterday I couldn't get her to wake up to eat and tonight we have been up every hour. this will stop when my milk comes in right? I am so exhausted.

@lumos.nox, I plan on expressing in a hot shower tonight. hopefully I'll be able to get her to stay awake for a full feeding tonight.

I haven't yet. we just got home yesterday afternoon. but I'm pretty sure my milk is starting to come in. it just leaked a little when she cried. 😊 @lumos.nox

I had my nurses take my daughter right after a nursing session until my daughter wanted to eat again, even at 2 hours it felt amazing.... hang in there mama, it will get easier especially once your milk comes in

You could pump ( it won't be much at first ) while she's sleeping that way if the nurse does take her , she will still be getting your colostrum while you get a lil rest

It will get easier , I promise ! Hang in there & ask your nurses for help if you need to. Mine always offered to take my daughter for a hour or two to the nursery so I could get enough rest to get my energy levels back up. That one or two hours will make all the difference in the beginning!

They usually do that the night before your milk comes in. hang in there momma! the first few weeks is pretty stressful with breastfeeding. but it's Def worth it :)
