Joined a mommy group on FB that my friend invited me to. After 2 days I left it. Why? Because a lady made a post asking for opinions from new moms so I commented...I was maybe the 8th commenter. But after I commented I started getting replies saying I'm a dumb bitch, I'm endangering my child and need her taken from me, I must be a special kind of stupid, saying I'm too stupid to be writing novels (because heaven forbid I typed more than a sentence). Them calling me shit, degrading my parenting style....I was fine with it. But then they all brought my daughter into it and started calling her the spawn of a retard, a lying ass prairie nigger (pardon my french for the use of that word....also, how can my 11 month old be a liar???), should've just aborted the fucker instead of making her live a life with me as her mom, hope you lose her and realize your stupidity, "she could choke and I wouldn't care or feel sorry because you did that to her", etc. Why did they attack me? Because the original post asked when new mom's introduced table foods instead of baby food or formula. My comment said I introduced her to table foods, soft table foods, around 4 1/2-5 months old because baby food upset her tummy and EBF just wasn't filling her up, and she wouldn't accept a bottle for supplementing, but she did perfectly fine with mashed potatoes watered down with breastmilk and some thick ham chunks for teething on. In a support group, why was I attacked like that for stating what was asked as an opinion? I'll never understand. And the fact that they not only attacked me, but also attacked my daughter, who's not even a year old and who they've never met, made it worse. Definitely done with FB mommy groups. Think I'll just stick to this app 👌 Haven't met any negativity yet here.
