Is 28 weeks to early to do a baby shower? I'm due end of January but I was thinking of doing my shower early November. I just think it will be too difficult to do during the holidays. People are busy and traveling, and everyone is budgeting for Christmas. Plus I don't want to do it after the holidays because I don't want to be huge and miserable.

you can do your baby shower whenever you please. we did ours around 28-30 weeks so that we had time to buy what we needed if we didn't get it.

@mamaberger That's another good point. So we can get whatever we need and not try to buy it all at once.

I think that is perfect timing. what ever you don't get from the shower, you'll have time to get before the baby arrives

@harleyann, it helped a lot having it early...we didn't get hardly anything that we registered for so it gave us time...we didn't have the money to buy everything at once.

@haleeyann, I'm also due at the end of January and we plan on doing ours late October early November. We want to have it before the Holidays since many people are going out of town and things are hectic.

I'm due 1/1 and my shower will be 10/9 to avoid the holidays as well!

I had mine at 28 weeks. I liked it because I was still comfortable enough to move around, hadn't seriously blown up yet in weight (so people could remember my beautiful pregnancy and not the swollen depressed part lol) and also so we would have time to purchase anything we would still need after the shower (thank god because nobody stuck to the registry and everyone bought clothes)

I did my first at 25 weeks because family was in the state for my sister's graduation.
