just had my baby on thursday! ! im breastfeeding her but ive noticed that my nipples hurt at the beginning of breastfeeding sessions and then after a few minutes i don't feel the pain as bad. is that normal? and yes they are sore throughout the day.

Your nipples will hurt the first few weeks. I was told the initial latch will hurt a bit but if it goes away a few seconds after baby has latched then you're doing it right.

She probably gets a better latch after a while..but latch might be something you should work on..try pinching your nipple and areola between two fingers like scissors and then letting her latch..that's how I made sure my boy got enough of my nipple in his mouth

if it like burns too it could be your actual milk having come In and burns during your let down!!
