Ladies I have a question.. I'm almost 7 months. I bought a flexible maternity belly ring and I feel like it may be irritating my belly button.. it is constantly itchy only on/around my belly button. Anyone else have this problem w/ the rings or is it just going to be like that from stretching in general? I also have a little dry skin on the lower part of my belly button as well. This is a pic of it w/o the ring.

I never clean mine but I took mine out toward the end of my pregnancy and the hole didnt close up @xalyssasays
I pulled mine with a shirt I wore and just took it out. Haven't replaced it yet. I told myself i would once I lost the weight and toned my stomach. I plan to after this baby!
@2queenbee9, maybe I'll just poke my ring through it every couple days so it doesn't completely close cuz it feels so much better not having it in lol
@korasia, that's exactly what's happening. It doesn't irritate me now that it's out.
I had the same problem but once I took it out I didn't have anymore itching
I would leave it out now because you have already irritated it. You may have to get it repierced
@peanut92, yeah I'll have to go buy some alcohol. It's just so itchy. Feels so much better now that it's out but I'll clean it and everything
put some tripleantibiotic or neosporin on it after u clean it and then put it back in...I did that when mine got infected....I wasn't prego tho but i did that routine 2x a day at least and for about a week....healed up perfectly and I've never had an infection since...that was almost 10 yrs ago now
I know I totally understand. maybe just for a while until it stops being irritated

Yeah. You should always clean it real good before putting in because it came from a factory. it isn't sterile. might have caused a complication. Just a possibility! I wash anything store bought before use.

@rennysmommy, yeah I'm hoping mine doesn't close up. I've still got 13 weeks to go so I'm letting it kind of get some air and then I'm gonna try to wear it again lol
