so my MIL has bought this cot for my 7 week old baby to stay in when he visits etc. In all fairness they did ask me first if I thought it was ok and sent me a link to it, it seemed fine after looking at it online. Now it's arrived (picture attached) I think it looks way too big and low for him and myself or my MIL will not be able to even reach and pick him up as we are both small. They all seem happy with it and my OH has said "it's fine, it won't affect him" what do you ladies think???

thank you @kmcf2302 just looking on amazon now. That sleepy head looks good but my little boy likes to shove his face into the side of his basket lol (which is mesh so breathable) so would need a sleepyhead/nest that is breathable in case he does the same! xxx

thanks ladies. I might have a look into those inserts. Only problem we are left with is how to lift him out! I'd be worried to leave him with the MIL alone, I know that sounds stupid but she is so small and won't be able to reach him! I've just had a message from the sister in law saying "that's the best were gonna get jess, we don't want him climbing out when he's a toddler" .....yeah....he's 7 weeks!!! grrrrrrrrr lol @sara-lou @kmcf2302

You could do as @kmcf2302 said & pad it out with something to make it feel more snug if your worried.

Morgan used to sleep in a travel cot when we visited my husbands family. We started going when he was 6/7weeks. He was fine. Slept well. The mattress wasn't as comfy (I thought) so I laid a blanket over top.
