Just got pissed off on a whole new level....if you think its funny that my daughter tried to commit suicide because of the influence certain types of music and bands had on her with the cutter lifestyle, with those HORRIBLE emo bands that have such a horrible, negative impact, you probably should work on becoming a better person because there is NOTHING fucking funny about a mother watching her own daughter slash her wrists in front of her!!!! 😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😢😢😢😢😢

OMG I'm so sorry about what you and your daughter r going through, watch who she hangs out with, I know it's the 'friends ' that usually are the bad influences not so much the music
@santistevanmommie, most people hear the heavy instruments and get freaked out but it's so much more than instruments there is also words. I agree people influence more than music.
@guaderrama_babies2, is right. Maybe it wasn't the music that effected her but the people she was choosing to surround herself with. My husband listens to metal and he is far from the emo "cut your wrists" type.

She didn't even say it was funny what happened to your daughter. Your blog doesn't even say what happened to her. How would she know what happened until you told her? Also she was probably just meaning it effects people and it doesn't.
My husband is a metal head and he admits a LOT of emo bands have a negative effect in teens and even on his OWN mind. So, that being said, it's possible. And yes, the crowd was also a huge problem. Also, Asking Alexandria played a huge role in her wanting to sleep around with random guys, which I found out about happening as well. there was a LOT of influence because of the music for her.
