Rook, Tragus and/or helix ear piercings during a c section. Yay or nay? It's super hard for me to get them out & even harder to put them back in. I would like to avoid taking them out. Can I refuse? lol

There's an idea! @gina22082 I didn't think of that. Still sounds like so much work 😂

It's hard to just take them out. I've had several piercings so I feel your pain (literally lol)!! Whenever I want to take them out or put them in I have to go to the tattoo shop. Maybe you can do that?? They will take them out and put them back in no problem.

Yes you do have a say! Well it could be the fact that yours is scheduled and they have time to request that you remove them. Mine was emergency so they couldn't really ask at that time lol. But I've had a previous surgery that they asked me to remove them because of electrical wave reasons. There is a small chance the electricity from the instruments they use can give you burns anywhere on your body that you have metal. But I left them in for that surgery too lol and no burns.

@gina22082, hmmm must be something about my hospital. I think I'll leave mine in and accept the dirty looks that they might give me. My doctor says that she knows I wouldn't want that to hold up my surgery, but I seriously can't imagine that it would be THAT serious. I'm the patient, ya know. Don't I have a say?😞lol

I have a rook and tragus piercing and they didn't require me to remove either during my c-section. I even had my lobe earrings in.

And a c section has nothing to do with my ears. The doctor mentioned something about an electro something that they use during c sections & that it could burn where the metal(earring is). I'm skeptical because I'm pretty sure an MRI/CT scan should've ripped a hole in my ear or something lol @geekymomma13 @beckysmommy22
