Been on pitocin for about 5 hours now and holy crap these contractions hurt. You ladies weren't lying, these aren't a joke. Worst part is I'm only dialated 1 and a half cm still. I feel like such a wimp but I'm so ready for an epidural now. My plan was to put it off till at least 5 cm but with how slow I'm progressing I feel like that could be forever from now and with only an hour of sleep last night I'm not sure I can do it. Any tips for getting through these contractions? They are lasting a minute or so with about a minute in between.
It's not at all, they had me sit on the side of the bed when I had mine and the nurse she was so sweet she held me while I had my last baby cause I wanted to kill my husband I kept telling him you did this to me lol
@kreese88, I'm trying my best to breath through them but omg it's not easy lol
Just breath as well as you can threw them I know it's hard but it will help. And your not a wimp if you need the epidural get it before it's to late. That happened to me in both my last two pregnancies and I had them both naturally. Good luck momma ❤️
I'm havin some contractions that are about 20 minutes apart and lasting 3 minutes. It's been pretty consistent for almost 2 hours. Is this the beginning of labor? My doctor said if I had 6 in an hour to go to L&D but I only had 4 in an hour. I'm 32 weeks with twins.
I'm convinced I'm going to go into labour at any minute.....I'm having contraction but they're stopping and starting. Yesterday i was having contractions all morning then by the time I got to triage to be monitored they stopped. Now this morning I was sat having breakfast with my son and they started again. But more intense and longer lasting this time. My question is do I phone triage now or do I just wait to see what happens. I feel like I'm wasting their time always ringing etc
I feel like I'm the only one here that's like not about to give birth anytime soon ! 😂😂😂😂 #13weeks
This may be stupid but....how long do contractions last for? I keep having period cramps and lower back pain but it lasts like 3 minutes each time.
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
@cubanese, I've heard that and I really didn't want to get induced but with my blood pressure being high the doctor thought it was the right thing to do. I just hope it starts going faster.
