whats everyones opions on cot bumpers... some people say they dangerous but others say there not... i didnt have one…

Ive always heard that they're dangerous... I wouldn't risk it until baby is older xx

I bought a whole cot bumper set only to find when I read up on bumpers that they can increase cot death so I don't think we'll be using ours 😞 suppose it's down to what you think/feel is safe or not x

This is a new one for me I had one with my son he wasn't in his cot till about 7 months because of being so small. Is there an age that it's safe to use from lady's ? x

I've bought they cot wrap things rather than bumper x

i got a bumper as it came in the set i got... my little girl is going strait into a cot but its a smaller one not a big cot bed or anything... my son hated his moses basket to so went strait for a cot this time... i think i may not use it straight away just incase... so many different opions and veiws these days its hard lol... @mummy2leo @daisysmummy @xkathrynlouise xx

@sarahl, i did see them they look good aswell... think im going to get a drape so it encloses baby abit and makes it more cosy... xx

I think if it's to do with being dangerous then il probably not use but I always thought it was safe for the baby. Maybe a little read up or ask hospital/midwife. x

I used mesh cot bumper with my first and will again for this one. I was nervous about the normal cot bumper so with the mesh one atleast there's no ties (wraps around with Velcro) and in my mind safer

my hv told me not to use them especially when baby gets more mobile as there is a risk that baby can get entagled in them and suffocate or strangle themselves x

cot liners in Argos look good instead of a cot bumper x
