Question for ladies who were induced...We're you confined to the hospital bed the whole time or did they allow you to get up and move around at all. They have me starting of with Cervadil and I'm hooked up to the monitors but my back is killing me from laying down for so long and they don't seem to want to let me get up. I'm just wondering if I'll have any opportunity to get up and stretch because I'm so uncomfortable that I can't get any sleep and I know I need it before contractions start getting bad.
@datnavajogirl, @jaxxonambrosehirschmommy @tiffanyxomarie1 I got the thing inserted in me that has a string attached so it can be pulled out. I just asked and my nurse said I can't walk around while it's in. I'm really hoping it's working, when I came in I was at 1cm and I haven't been checked since. I'm just gonna deal with it for now but eventually I'm gonna get cranky from no sleep and demand to at least walk around in my room.
I was confined to the bed, what I didn't know until after I had my son and started reading up on it is that it's your right to ask to be taken off the monitors and be allowed to move around. They cannot make you stay in that bed with the monitors on, if you want a break, tell them. I'll definitely be asking for breaks this time around when I go to have my daughter (if I have to be induced again)
@datnavajogirl, they're monitoring the babies heart rate and my contractions and if I move even a little it doesn't pick them up which is why I'm stuck lying here. I'm hoping they give me a break from it so I can move around a bit but it seems like they aren't gonna. I've been here 8 hours now. Did they not do that with you?
@t623, that's the same thing happened to me I was stuck on the bed and I keep going to the bathroom to pee that's my excuse so I could get up lol 😂
