thank you ladies

I worked up till I was 32 weeks. I left a little early because I have back issues. X

I left work at 28 weeks as I had 2 weeks holiday left so started at 30 weeks. Glad I did because I wouldn't be able to stand for long now and I'm so tired. My body was telling me to stop. Im abit bored at home but I take my daughter to school do tidying up then I chill or have a nap after lunch till I pick her up

I'm 31 weeks today. I decided to go on maternity leave at 38 weeks. My work adjusted my duties so I can do more reception rather than nursing. I wanted to stay as long as possible so I can have more time with baby and we are buying house at the moment so money really counts. But have to see how I feel.

I worked till 38weeks first pregnancy. I think I could have gone longer but they wouldn't let me shorten my hours. I was doing 10hr shifts & spent 1hr getting to & from work on buses & walking so it just got a bit much. Second pregnancy I stopped at 35weeks. Doing the same job plus already having a toddler I was glad to finish! Everyone's different & it does depend on the job as well. I have a very physical job so I couldn't have gone longer!

I plan to go on maternity leave at 36 wks but I have 3 wks annual leave to take so I will technically be off from 33 wks, I'm a health care assistant on a stroke unit and don't think I could physically do my job past then. All of my colleagues are being really helpful and making sure that I don't do ANYTHING I shouldn't be xx

@samhappy, so far I am pretty good,just struggle with the heat (i work in a factory) and my platelets are low but apart from that I am doing pretty good (I hope I haven't just jinxed myself haha) x

I wanted to leave mine as long as I could. so 38 weeks I was planning. I'm 37+3 now and I'm in work this week and official last day is Thursday. but I'll be honest I could of done with finishing last week. I'm at struggling this week. everyone is different though depends how well pregnancy is going. x

oh that sounds very painful,I am quite lucky that I do get to sit down throughout day.I did leave letter open ended that I may finish earlier.the company is yet to sort cover for me,I have to train them before I go x

@sarahl, you'll probably have to see how you go Hun, I said I'd work till 34 weeks (I had 4 weeks annual leave I could use before maternity) but ended up leaving on sick at 31 weeks, I have SPD ligament pain, I only worked 30 hours a week but busy on my feet all day in hospital meant I just couldn't manage any longer, good luck xxx
