Vaccinate for chicken pox or let your child get over it naturally? Thoughts?

I plan on getting my child vaccinated because might as well get it out of the way now instead of missing school and being miserable.

I thought babies didn't get the vaccine until they are a year? Poor baby :(

I got it as a kid. But this 6 month old baby caught it from another kid at a daycare and the poor baby died. so idk. some things are preventable.

I just had a friend recover from shingles she told me she rather go through natural child birth then have shingles again and she only a small area. Back when I was a kid they didn't have the vaccine so when my brother got it my mom kept is in the same room lol and I got it within a few days and I remembered how miserable I was. My kids have the vaccine but it's not 100% they won't get it.

its rare to get it after the vaccine but if you have the vaccine its not uausally a bad case. the vaccine wasnt around when i was younger so i got the chasecken poxes but not a bad case so when i was 10 they gave me the vaccine because they said my body didnt build any antibodies for it.

Never had the chicken pox (knock on wood) I got the vaccine and my daughter will get it too🙂

I do it because it puts them at risk for shingles later in life.

Vaccines aren't 100% you can still get whatever even if you have received the vaccine

Natural. I had chicken pox. They didn't even have a vaccine for it before 1996.

I was asking because someone on Facebook said he daughter had gotten chicken pox and when she took her to the doctor he was very surprise to see it again. Her daughter was vaccinated for it when she was younger.

I was told the vaccine can too, although rare. I remember having chicken pox when I was a kid and it was horrible :( I remember having awful dreams!

Chicken pox can cause shingles later in life. Very painful. Not worth it imo
