So my boss changed everyone's schedules without warning or anything. There is a lot of heavy lifting and I got scheduled alone when I'll be 28 weeks pregnant. I know when you're pregnant you're not broken or unable to do things, but I'm not comfortable doing a lot of heavy lifting that far along especially having lost a baby in the past. My coworker was in my boss's office talking about HER schedule and was like "By the way I don't know if you thought about it but Emily probably shouldn't be alone being pregnant." And my boss said "I don't care, she'll just have to figure it out. Nobody gets any special treatment for anything, even being pregnant." I've already been to the ER with cramping and bleeding from over doing it here. I know some people continue to do everything but I'm just not comfortable possibly putting my pregnancy in danger for a job. Do I sound crazy? I'm just kinda lost about what to do.
@wisky80wifey, @reyesmomma @kendrbaby thanks for the opinions! I'm going to the doctor on Tuesday and will talk to her about it then. If I get something from my doctor saying I can't do it there's a chance my boss will still try to force my so if I have to I'll go to her boss or HR about it.
Everything they said above. Im having the same problems with my job now & id rather jobless than lose my baby
you need to contact your human resources department and talk to them and see if they can change your work to light duty or see if you can start your FMLA leave. another thing you could try is to bring a doctor's note to work
Your not at all! I quit a job my first pregnancy because my boss was a douche and made me climb, lift, and pull heavy things all the time all while she say on her fat ass and ate pizza and wings every freaking day 😒 the last straw was when we had a mini tornado/storm and all the power went out and there was no air and I was already feeling faint that day and they told me I couldn't leave..so no your not wrong for how you feel don't put your pregnancy in danger for people who could care less
when you bring in a doctor's note you have to bring it into HR anyways
