@mombie2be, as long as my son is gonna be alright im happy..trying to stay positive i love him so much and dont want anythibg bad happening
I'm glad you went! Cholestasis is no joke! My son had no problems with his heartbeat or weight. Having cholestasis puts strain on baby after 37 weeks
@mombie2be, went to drs they did blood work for me just to double check to mke sure its not that but he said it could be a fluke too but he measured baby and heard heart beat his fetal HB is excellent so he has no worries !
Omg me to my palms my legs and my feet i wanna scratch till i rip off my skin it's just so itchy
@mombie2be, i just called my dr office..he isnt in for another 3 hrs but they eill call me back ...i have a dr apt wed anyways...do u find out test right away ? or have to wait
Cholestasis is not dangerous to baby under 37 weeks. Anything after 37 weeks is. I would highly suggest to tell your doctor. You should get tested and if it comes out negative but you're still experiencing the itchiness request to keep getting tested. I got tested several times and it came out negative. The last time I got tested I was induced the same day I got my results because my levels were doubled.
@bqueen, im 7 months next week..@mombie2be, @constancetinople is that dangerous and will affect my baby???😢😢
@mombie2be is right. definitely a sign of chelestasis. i was diagnosed with it when i was 21 weeks. i was induced at 37 weeks. i was given a pill to help with the itching, it helps about 90% but i was still mildly itchy. it goes away after you give birth. it is so miserable to have it. i have scars from scratching so hard. i hope you don't have it. hope it's something else.
It's starts of with your palms it then loves to feet and legs. I couldn't even sleep, and was scratching myself raw. It's because of the liver not functioning right. I was induced at 36 weeks 3 days. Having baby after 37 weeks increases your chances of putting stress in baby and stillbirth. You should contact your obgyn tomorrow and ask to be tested for cholestasis.
Me. I had cholestasis of pregnancy. Are you on your third trimester?
You should look up preeclampsia... Itchy hands are a sign of it
Don't worry momma! If it is cholestasis you found out just in time!
