how many mommies out there think its better to have your daughter's first birthday by itself and not have to share it with someone else's party too? apparently my fiance and his mom have decided that it would just be easier if we share my daughter's first birthday and his sister's 10th birthday... (btw her birthday isn't actually til October 6th) but they want to have her birthday party on the 24th and combined my daughter's... I think my daughter's birthday should be separate to make it more special, any other momma's out there agree or that can give some insight about this situation cuz Im so upset and aggravated about this it's not even funny 😕😐

NO! Don't do it. Your baby deserves her own special day.

Her first birthday should definitely be her own

Sharing later birthdays might be ok eventually. This is a milestone bday and should be special.

And I speak from experience. I was born on my fathers, aunts and grandfathers birthday. We all shared that day but when I was little it was my day. My father and I celebrate together now, but that's because we want to.

@phinnybinz, thank you that's what I'm trying to explain to.my fiance but hes getting frustrated and saying it just easier for everyone. I'm just frustrated and aggravated that he wouldn't even discuss this with me while his mom was there too.

I would let him know that you definitely understand that it's easier...BUT your daughter is worth the extra effort to make sure her very first birthday is special. And you don't feel that asking to celebrate her milestone birthdays alone isn't too much. ☺️😉

I'm having this same problem with my boyfriend. He wants to celebrate my daughters first birthday with his grandmas, but I straight up told him no. That's my daughters very 1st birthday party. It's special and significant. :)

Venting!! I’m probably going to have to cancel my baby girls birthday party cuz No one wants to come cuz they are worried about the coronavirus. But yet they have been going out almost everyday with their friends drinking and doing other things. With their kids but can’t come to a birthday party for a family. My heart hurts for my baby. All she wanted for her birthday was for her cousin to come.

This is my son Walter. Today is his birthday. He would have been five. This picture was taken when he was 16 days old. He was my first child and my only son (I now have 3 girls). He passed away the next day after this picture from congenital heart failure. It was a miracle that he lived passed 12 weeks gestation because of how severe his heart defects were. I miss him so much, I can't believe it's been 5 years. It still hurts so bad. I don't talk about him a lot out loud because I end up bawling, so i thank you for letting me share this with you ladies. You have always been nice and supportive. Happy birthday son, your mom loves you.
