Does the sweep hurt? And what are people experiences with it . It's my first baby and I'm hoping it works?

No more uncomfortable than anything, like a smear test. I had mine on the Tuesday morning by early hours Thursday morning I was in labour. My first baby too.
@ieb, I refused it as it wasn't an experience I wanted to repeat. I decided to let nature take its course and as it turned out they all arrived over due at +5 anyway. My consultant at the time said 'the less interference babies have the better it is'
Yes I'm getting mixed reviews I'm abit nervous about it now lol Isn't it just the two fingers sweeping you ? Which I can't think would be as bad as like a smear with a dry ass cotton bud lol
mine didn't hurt at all i think it differs from person to person. I've read many who experience pain and many say they didn't.
Had one with my 1st and it was uncomfy. Went into labour 8h later had him 23h after that. Refused it with other 3 and all 4 went to term +5
Mine didn't hurt at all everyone told me it was going to be painful but it wasn't at all and I have no pain threshold in such a wimp but my waters went 12 hours after I had it x
