I always fix my man plate

i agree with it . i always try to fix my mans plate in public and i do it at home sometimes too

I do it most of the time, now that I'm bigger he does it for me.

@cubanese, I agree. And I'm not gonna always do it public cause I don't always do it at home

I'm guilty of always doing it, it's habit I feed the kids first then him then myself

I personally dont. i make my kids plates and then he makes our plates. just how we do it.

i guess it goes both ways...he's been fixing me a plate way before and I would do same for him but most likely he beats me to it

I was raised that you're always supposed to fix the man's plate.

I serve my man for every dinner no matter we are in public or not.... And he constantly complains that I don't serve him a drink.

@simply_unsimple, yup! i was the only lady growing up so i always made my dads plates, So I'll always make my mans. just how i was raised. I cook, i clean, i bring the food. The kitchens my area. he's terrible in rhe kitchen all around haha

lol yeah that's just how I was raised too..I always saw my mother make my father's plate, so I'll be doing the same. @deennbean

I think part of it depends on who's cooking too. I do most of the cooking so I make the plates. If he barbecues he will make my plate. If he goes out to get us food he brings both of us a plate. Let's say we're out at a family picnic, if it's my family I'll make him a plate and if it's his he will make me one. As long as we're eating..lol

@lexonmars, I don't believe in gender roles. We both cater to each other. Naturally and unconsciously I may serve more but he never hesitates to serve me.

Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

I think women should honor their husband if he is respectful and shows that he truly loves you.

i agree. i feel like a lot of woman get stuck into the idea that they need to be spoiled but so do ya man. u want someone to do for u and then u look at them like bruh u gotta go do for yaself too. no. karma. people pour into who pour's into them. it makes me wanna bed over backwards more when i see how much he bends over backwards for me. its about keeping eachother happy. when my man gets home from work i try to have his plate made and everything ready so all he has to do is get undressed and eat especially since im a stay at home mom right now. its being submissive without being taken advantage of. mind u lets make this clear U CAN'T BE THIS WAY WITH EVERY DUDE. SOME OF THEM TRULY DONT DESERVE IT

I'm sorry if this offends anyone, but I'm not his mother and I'm not going to act like his mother. he is a grown adult that can take care of himself. I love to do things for him but I refuse to pick up after him or to cater to him. if he asks me to do something for him, I absolutely will, but I think it's childish to expect any woman to take care of her man like he is her child.

I don't fix my fiancés plate and he doesn't like when I do lol

I fix his plate 90 percent of the time unless it's like last night and I was exhausted from a long day and cooking. So we made our plates together

If I fixed it he'd be hungry, I eat way less than him and we see totally different on what portions are normal lol 😂

I totally agree with @goodjourney and he serves me too sometimes but I just prefer to do it for him and he loves me doing it too. I'm also a stay at home mom and he works really hard for us to have everything we need. he is my king! 😃

amen....and we must SHOW our kings they are appreciated so that they have the incentive to go out and continue to do what they do for us HAPPILY... @momtobeagain

I personally feel that it should be both ways. I love to honor and respect my man but I don't think fixing his plate is necessarily a sign of respect. In a sense, to my family, it would be control. My dads side of the family (except my dad) thinks it's a woman's place to do such things and a man should be catered to. No. A husband and wife should work together. If he's had a hard day at work or whatever, I love catering to him but if he's just being lazy or controlling who I am NO! My husbands dads taught him that women are to shut up and do their job around the house. We are equals. We share respect and we share responsibilities. My husband is just now realizing his dad is wrong. God took woman from adams rib (his side) to be by his side. Not in front of him to control, not behind to be controlled but side by side, together, in everything. I'm rambling but I have no trouble respecting him as the leader of my home if he's operating as one but fixing his plate? When I was a stay at home mom, no problem. But we both work outside the home and i usually work longer hours. How about making mine when I've been up half the night and then worked all day the next day? Lol

I just want to also say that i would never disrespect my husband by rolling my eyes or saying anything about his legs regardless of who fixes who's plate. That's too far...
