What's annoying to me is that I keep telling my doctor I be having Braxton hicks contractions all…

umm Braxton hicks start a lot earlier than that but most don't feel them until the third trimester. second time + mom's know what they feel like so can feel them even earlier than 20 weeks. my doctor seemed a bit concerned when I told her I was having a couple in just one day. she recommended a maternity belt to help support and said that should help. I don't feel them a lot now but I don't wear the belt (I really need to now). I'd bug them in the office. I'd call whenever you have one so maybe your doctor would know just how serious you are. I don't though. I hope it works out for you.

I have them all the all the time I count them within the hr and the most I had in an hr was 3 . She think it's just stretching but like i said this is my second pregnancy with my son I felt them around 35 until I had him at 37 this time I've been feeling them since 16 and now I'm 20 . I would feel awhole lot of pressure and tighting feeling and my stomach would get rock hard during then after it goes away and stomach return to normal . That's not uterus stretching this is not a cramp this a pressure and extrem tightness and hardness someone times the pressure is so heavy I can feel it in my lower back toward my butt . But I was told from my high risk consultant those are indeed Braxton hicks and long as they are not more than 5 an hr and they're not painful then it's fine and to drink water during them and kick my feet up . My red doctor just thinks that everything goes and happen at a certain time like she don't know that you seem to go through things and notice things earlier the 2nd and so on time . @ssdj4

I tried to break it down to her at my last appointment when I went on Thursday and she was like if there no blood and your water did not break than there's no need to worry your fine . And that may be true but i am high risk as it is and if I've been having them since 16 weeks and now I'm 20 and I get them way more and all through the day at least 3 an hr ... You aren't worried about how much more I'm going to get as the weeks go by and if they're going to get closer to me 3 an hr all day everyday seems to be a lot . I could see if it was here and there through the days but it's like I have them all day long now . And the fact that I had my son at 37 weeks I just think she should take them alil more serious even if they are Braxton hicks . But she's just worried about me having thalassemia and my partner has it too but he hasn't taken the blood test to see what type he has so we don't know if the baby will have the trait or the disease . That's all she's worried about even though my baby has been passing all her test so far and shows no signs of any problems she just focused on that .

well talk to another doctor see what they say.

My high risk consultant told me at my last sono that having that many this early isn't normal and that I could just be dehydrated I could honestly have her early . She said usually when they come like that and it's no reason people usually have there babies alil early like in the beginning of the 30 or mid 30 weeks . So thank god that I go to see her and the head doctor at that hospital every month. And they going to start checking on me and baby every two weeks once I hit 26 weeks so that's good also because il still have regular doc and them too . @beauitfulbabygirl29

@jeanetta25, the consultant saying that is good! not trying to scare you but I started having Braxton hicks with my first around 20 weeks, my daughter came at 32 weeks. prepare for it in case. my doctor didn't believe me either and I had a really horrible experience because they didn't listen, but I'll tell you they were not prepared to deliver my daughter

Omg 32 weeks that's crazy how much did she weigh ? Was she healthy ?

@kayloniandkirksmommy, it wasn't anything they could do to stop it ? And j have to have a c-section I can't deliver vaginally because I'm too narrow I tried with my son and I pushed for 3 hrs straight just to have an emergency c-section it was hell !!

yeah you are right I would go find another doctor. I understand that it's not labor yet just the BH but the fact that she doesn't believe is contractions is not right.

@momtobeagain, I am . Because if you have them all the time around the clock like I do this early that's a sign of early labor my high risk pregnancy consultant told me . Plus the young lady above in previous comments confirmed it to she was going through the same and had her baby at 32 week . And that's scary !

yeah she needs to take it serious specially because you are high risk

@jeanetta25, I was in preterm labor for 13 hours, they stopped it and then 24 hours after I was released, I ended up back in the hospital needing an emergency c section because she was in distress. she was born with pneumonia and weighed 4 lbs 7 oz. she's got severe asthma now and is on the autism spectrum, but other then that, she's a healthy 3 year old now! I just remember having the BH almost every day and then suddenly they were real contractions and I ended up in our local l&d and was then transfered to a bigger hospital. but I went through a similar experience doctor wise, I was denied high risk and when I ended up in l&d, they LAUGHED in my face and didn't believe I was in labor. they changed their tune quick

Oh wow that's crazy !! You got such a strong little girl there !💜 thank you for sharing your experience maybe if I tell my doc what you went through she'll pay more attention . Those doctors who laughed at you should be ashamed of there self I would have reported them for being highly unprofessional !! @kayloniandkirksmommy
