I keep seeing people advising others about lack of movements... If you're worried about your bump and the lack of movements then I highly recommend you going getting checked. You know your bump better than anyone and it's always better to be safe than sorry.
Counting kicks is one of the most important things you can do!
@summerbelle, my midwife told me that if in doubt go to the antenatal unit, as for one it reassures you and also gives the midwives chance to monitor the bump. Maybe I'm just over cautious but I do believe it's better being safe than sorry, you know your bump more than anyone else x
Just remember tho that ctg does not guarantee everything is ok. Only confirms presence of heart beat and movement. It cannot guarantee health and that an hour later all will be well. I had this conversation with my consultant 4 weeks ago with the scans etc. They are not diagnostic. My last baby was monitored every 2 days for 10 and was born very sick with a true knot causing reduction in blood flow that was totally missed by two scans the week before and the ctg I had. So vigilance is needed as well. Unfortunately I was fobbed off and told all is 100 per cent ok when I later found out that not to be true. So please don't rely on the monitoring alone
