yes we've had ir twice so far and I used genetian violet an over the counter medicine bc the nystatin the pediatrician prescribed my son would make him fussy and cause tummy pains . it cleared within 4 days of using the genetian violet .

I was told 1mL on each side of the mouth, in her cheeks. She would spit it out, truthfully I would put it in her mouth when she was laying down, only way it wouldn't, say fall out of her cheeks.

I sure hope so!!! it's getting so painful for me as well!!! did the amount you gave seem like a ton for your daughters mouth? They said 1cc in each cheek and he just spits it out no matter how slow I do it! @ginabee93 @savvylynn1 I love it but he's going to be out of it soon! it's newborn size and my baby already weighs 9lbs at 3weeks:(

With the medicine they gave you two, it'll clear up soon. It may settle better with breast milk, so he may not get upset bellies. Which would be a good thing, because no one likes an upset stomach. 🙊

@ginabee93, I believe that is what my boy was prescribed as well and we have only given it to him once but he seems extra sleepy since then! it's good to know it may upset his tummy!! unfortunately we are breastfeeding so it is getting passed back and forth:(

My baby had a very mild case of thrush when she was a month old and was prescribed nistatin. I gave her the medicine maybe three times, it upset her belly and didn't settle well with formula. So I quit giving it to her and the thrush went away on its own.
