Can I hear some positive induction stories? Everything I read about online is always so negative... This is technically going to be an elective induction but I've been having high BP and very high protein in my urine so that's why I chose to do it. Everyone is bashing me with my decision and it sucks. :/

@katietay34, I've had 3 children all natural no drugs. But my last little one needed some help. my water was leaking and my labor wasn't progressing fast enough. so I was given pitocin to speed up the process. my first 2 births were smooth sailing. never had pitocin before let me tell you once they amped me up to 12 MIL it felt like torture. I couldn't get comfortable for nothing. and contractions were back to back. Maybe 10 seconds in between. I honestly asked for the epidural which went against my whole birth plan 😕. however I did NOT get it because by the time I asked for it it was time to push. put of all 3 non medicated births. my last one was the most painful. pitocin is no joke. she definetly scared me lol. definetly would recommend the epidural with pitocin.

Nobody is ever going to go online and share their story of how great anything was. The only people worked up enough to share a story are people who had negative experiences. The people that had good experiences are at home distracted by their precious baby. Everyone is different. If it's better for your health then it's important you do what's best for you. It's going to hurt either way. There's pain medication to help manage it either way. You've got this either way.

I was induced at 41 weeks, and honestly my labor went by very quickly and smoothly, and the good part is you don't have to worry about being out in public and your water breaking lol that was a huge fear of mine. I was in active labor for like 6 hours and this is my first baby, and the contractions weren't that bad, I didn't get the epidural until I was 8 cm and he was about ready to come out, so in my opinion id prefer induction

I was induced because of High BP. it would go down so they kept me over night and broke my water and gave me the stuff that starts the induction. he was born 2 days later, He's healthy, Im healthy. And now hes about to be 4 months old. Very long labor but totally worth it.
