Booked in for an induction tomorrow, really don't know what to expect...anyone had an induction that can share some stories, probably done the worst thing and googled it and now shitting myself :(
I was induced. Had pessary at 9am, waters went at 3pm, then put on a hormone drop to speed up contractions (it hurts like a bitch!) had my little boy at 9pm so only in for 12hours. I did have to have forceps though as babies heartrate kept dropping. Don't worry Hun, just think, once it's over you'll have your baby & that's all that matters 💖
I was induced had a pessary didn't really work only a little bit! i was already 2cm that pain wasnt to bad just gas and air. I then had the drip which didnt take long to work probably 4-5 hours tops straight to pushing! had my little boy within 1hr 15 overall a good induction to meeting my little one.
@lou6888, I was exactly the same I was petrified before the section because I wanted a natural birth but I couldn't,it was the safest for my daughter I never had the epidural it was a spinal block similar procedure to an epidural, but since it had my daughter it's worth the pain and all the worries as I was in hospital from the 16/8 till the 23/8 due to her heart rate dipping and my blood pressure being high
@daisysmummy, ^^@dannielle1996 Danielle's story is what I'm worried about 😭😭. Just worried it won't work then end up in theatre. Biggest fear is epidural and section xx
I was induced at 38+3 because of gestational diabetes,I was given propess that is 12 hours then got examined and my cervix remained closed so was given this gel which takes 6 hours to work and I was having contractions but nothing progressed :/ so on the 20/8 I was told I will have an emergency c-section due to the induction failing and was told to be nil by mouth on the 21/8 so I didn't eat from half 8 in the morning 😩 and then was taken to theatre about 3/4 ish and had my daughter on the 21/8 at 17:17, had a spinal block so I was numb from just under my chest down
