Smh some men are just complete pieces of shit. My bio father has older kids and younger kids too all of which he is absent form their lives from what I know. Hopefully he comes around for his daughter but if not it may be a blessing he's not around

No he was at the hospital the day after I was born. But I believe it's your choice honestly. Even if she doesn't have his name it's still his kid

@riahlala3, nah girl. Just contact a legal aid attorney you can get through the state (for free) and they will take care of it. They will do a DNA test that he will be court ordered to do. Once that comes back they will put him on child support and it will come right out of his check. My mom had to do it with my biological father. He left her with a newborn to raise by herself and I remember doing all of that as a kid

yes my daddy just said that he probably avoid the hospital because of that reason. so I ended up giving my baby my last name since he wasn't there. now won't it be harder to file the case because he didn't sign and I don't know his social @bria

Ugh I hate deadbeats. I'm sorry. Thank god the baby has you taking care of her though🙌🏼. $100 seems like the easy way out especially considering he left you high & dry the whole time. He should have shown up with boxes of diapers, wipes, onesies etc. simple basic stuff would have shown more effort, and then given you $100 cash to take care of some groceries or something. Do you think he didn't come to the hospital bc he didn't wanna sign the birth certificate ? Cuz if he's tryna play games he could play games when his check is getting garnished for child support. He needs a baseball bat lol straighten him out

@bria, yes considering I haven't seen or heard from him in 7 months. left me hanging the whole pregnancy and didn't come to the birth. I called and told him I was in labor but no answer @mrscruz0530

You're strong💗. You did the right thing! But he should've left you more OR at least showed up with some stuff for the baby (clothes diapers wipes etc)

That's good that you were the bigger person about it because I'm sure he doesn't deserve it but your allowing your baby to have that relationship ! He shouldn't expect a thank you either because he SHOULD be putting in.
