Not for me. Babies are babies, no need for it. My 7 year old is just starting to ask me and even now my reply is " you can when you're older " I think that kids and babies should hold onto their childhood for as long as possible, they shouldn't be thinking about vanity or appearance at such a young age and obviously babies don't think about any of that anyway therefore shouldn't be subject to it X
i agree with @daisysmummy why would u hurt yr baby for no good reason? i was in tears for jacobs 8 week jabs so theres no way id allow someone to pierce his ears!
I'm completely against it... Why would you inflict pain on your baby just for fashion?! "It's over quickly" and "they don't remember it" does not justify it :/ also, infection is a possibility, why would you risk it?!
Also it's not your families choice & I don't understand why they'd try & get you to do it. What does it matter to them if your child has their ears pierced or not :-/ lol
I don't like it. I'd happily let my child decide when their older if they want them. Couldn't bring myself to pierce my babies ears for the sake of fashion or because it 'looks nice'. Just don't see the point of it. What possible plausible reason can you give as to why it's a good idea.... I'd like to hear one lol. I had mine done as a baby. It was the done thing back then I think lol
I've got three girls and I won't be getting theirs done until they're old enough to ask themselves, understand what happens and how took care for it themselves. It's not my place to inflict unnecessary pain on my girls at that age when they have no understanding. My mum had mine done when I was a tiny baby and I don't wear earrings now.
I personally wouldn't do it, as I think it's a choice you make to stick holes in your own body (I'm covered in tattoos and piercings by the way) it's also an unnecessarily painful procedure for a baby.... But my cousin had her ears pierced when she was a few months old, and a know a few people who did. It's all personal choice x
