Just a thought.. wanted to see what other people thought. Do you think babies somehow remember childbirth? So say you had quite a bad birth (being cut, forceps, emergency c-section etc) do you think a baby remembers that? Me and my mum were discussing it and we believe it could be possible 💭💭
To be fair I think every birth is a traumatic experience for the baby. Going from being nice & cosy inside too being yanked out into the cold! Haha.
Your very lucky for having a chilled baby @mummyto1soon2be2 lol and yeah @sara-lou that's what made us think because my little one let's out little whimpers and cries etc and we wondered if it could have been due to her birth.. just a thought it's interesting knowing what others think as well x
Nope, my son had a traumatic birth, heart rate dipping, forceps etc and he was chilled as soon as he was born, he's slept all night since being newborn x
Interesting theory... Max had quite a traumatic birth & he was quite unsettled for the first 5 weeks (due to colic I think) He's much happier & content now like Morgan was from the beginning. I don't think they remember it. But who knows we don't know what they can think! I'm pretty sure Max dreams as he smiles & makes noises, sometimes little chuckles sometimes little cries. So who knows what he's dreaming about lol
my mom has a friend that is doing a therapy since 2 years. basicly going through all her life till birth, it's supposed to give her a calmer and relaxed life, just like reveiling all the traumas and scares and processing them better.and yes some people say chilbirth can be the biggest trauma ever in your life and that defines u alot as a person but because you're so young you end up forgetting it. xx
I found with c sections i had calmer babies but with natural births more unsettled babies to start with xx
haha very true 😀😀
