my little girl has eczema I wanted to change her wash to the johnson and johnson extra moisture have any of you ladies used it ? or have and sugestiones
Cetaphil was also one mentioned by my doc. Don't put anything on your child's skin unless your doc looks at it: like I said he looked at ingredients on Honest company Babyganics healing balm and Aden anais stuff I had with me and to stop use them at least until it clears.
I just dealt with this two days ago. First: still have your doctor check your child's skin but... Mine got a prescription for could of very spot and told to use only a petroleum jelly (I'm using aquaphor) all over his body x2 a day AND when giving him a bath to only use DOVE SENSITIVE! (Bar or liquid). I use Honest Company and the doc said that not to even use that. hope that helps! I was just super shocked by the dove thing
yes his pediatrician gave him the cream as well, I mixed them (lotion and cream) @love345
@queencplus2, at this point I'll try anything my poor girl and her big old red cheeks thank you
@skylarsmomma, thank you I'll try the hydrocortisone her cheeks really need she looks like a little tomato lol
@mazeyy09, thank you I will try that I know Cetaphil is very good I us it for my skin
yes, their products didn't work for my son though, I had to switch to the alveeno to keep his skin moisturized
I was using the J&J vanilla oatmeal and I noticed that it made her eczema worse . J&J has a lot of harsh chemicals for their skin . I'd suggest going for an all natural non scented like Aveeno or babyganics, and also after you lotion them up use hydrocortisone 1% for 3 days and see how that works . Hope this helps :) (cornstarch also does wonders for under the neck for heat rash/diaper rash)
@love345, you need to take your child to the doctor because the will have to prescribe your child a steroid for the bad parts of the breakout. That and petroleum jelly are the only things that solve this.
