Does anyone have experience with switching from an OB to Midwife? I'm 24 weeks currently. Midwife just values more of the same things as me. My OBs office is also on a rotation of 4 Drs and I really only like/trust one & don't want to risk her not being on call when I'm in L&D.
@aiellomorgan, @johanna_b1 I know I want to switch, I love that they make it more personal. I think birth should be natural and empowering and my OBs don't share that belief. They are all for unnecessary procedures. I'm just not sure if it's too late to switch?
I agree with @johanna_b1. This is my second pregnancy and I'm still seeing a midwife. My experience with a regular doctor was okay but I definitely feel more heard and understood.
I've been seeing a midwife since the beginning. I feel like midwives are more understanding and they give you all of their attention unlike a regular doctor. My apt arent rushed, they are very thoughtful, and all they do is baby stuff so they definitely know what they're talking about.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

My sweet baby girl gained her angel wings this morning. She was my best friend, my true love my everything. She was so happy and beautiful, I'm struggling to say good bye. Sleep tight princess, mummy and daddy love you very very much ❤️
Trigger. Lost baby
Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?

Is this the one yall drink to induce??? I'm desperate
Having some pretty intense constant lower back pain and maybe super light contractions. But can't tell because the back pain is way over powering contractions so I'm walking around my room to see if they get worse.
@slemon21, Absolutely not! When I was pregnant with my first I was originally suppose to see a doctor but she was never in so I always seen a midwife. By my second trimester I still didn't meet the lady who was suppose to deliver my baby and ended up switching. What I like most about seeing a midwife is that they seem to be understanding and try thing's more naturally. For example like home remedies versus using medication. I never felt alone. My advice to you is by your next appointment tell them you only want to be seen by a midwife and to only schedule your appointments when she's available. I'm currently doing that now (: also my midwife understands that I don't feel comfortable with someone other then her delivering my second daughter so If I do go into labor she is to be contacted if she's not on call.
