my son will be 3 weeks on Saturday and he has problems pooping. the only way he will poop is if I stick a thermometer up his butt.. I have to do it like 4 times a day just for him to poop otherwise he just crys in pain.. is there something I can give him that is safe to help him poop.
@bonniesue formula he is on nutramigen. @jesscami I feel so bad for him.. I just wish there was something I can do
my daughter's the same. gets so worked up and uncomfortable if she doesn't go at least once a day so I have to use a q-tip to help her go once or twice a day. I breastfeed and supplement with formula so maybe it's because I use both.
Nutramigen is predigested right? Perhaps the bottle you are using is creating a lot of air in his tummy? Making him uncomfortable. Remember babies do not have to go every day. I think if you have to use the thermometer that frequently because he's really struggling the best bet is to ask the doctor and maybe get a referral . My son was responsive to me moving his legs like he was pedaling a bike. Or pushing them up towards his tummy. I think baby might be too little for the use of juices.
