Does Gripe Water actually work? My daughter is colic — any recommendations?

I watched this video the other day saying the reason babies get colic is the way we change their diapers. Basically it says not to lift their legs up because it messes up the nerves in their spine that lead to their stomach. Lemme see if I can find it on youtube

I use it for hiccups it works instantly. I don't even have to give her the full dose sometimes
