Question: I hate seeing my little boy suffer from gas pains/constipation. we changed his formula 3 TIMES! First it was gentle (he was gassy & was spitting the formula up here and there) then soy (he was doing good EXCEPT his poop was diarrhea like) & Saturday the doc switched him to alimentum. but now he's constipated/gassy ALL OVER AGAIN. we give him gripe water but idk what else to do to help him :( Any advice mommies!

@brinnersmommy20, not that I know of. idk what other formula to put him on. I hate to put him on soy again with his poop all runny. he was having blowouts !

@mommietobe92 try a complete different brand and switch to liquid some babies can't handle the powder:( just make sure to let your pedi know

try gerber, my daughters pedi switches to that when all else fails its better on the tummy and easier to digest than Enfamil or Similac

@mommietobe92 hmmm see if you can get your pedi to write a prescription for a liquid form that very well could be the issue

I had a prescription for it from my doctor because I have the same problem and WIC refused to cover it still.

@jacesterlingsmommy, I'm at the wic office now. I called the nurse and she said it's better if the baby stays on powder formula & to burp him every half ounce. also to give him gas drops
