My boss has known that I'm leaving to go on maternity early for the last 8 weeks and has now punished me for leaving so early with 8 shifts for the rest of the month. Instead of what I normally do which is 12 days out of 14.
It's making me want to not bother going in, but then it puts me in crap with having no money until my maternity allowance Kicks in.. I don't know what to do 😔😔😔

I think unfortunately as you don't have a contract you don't really have a leg to stand on. Are you paying tax on your wages? If you are you might be best calling the citizens advice bureau, because you're 'employed' if you're not paying tax & are just under a verbal contract then I'm not sure there is anything you can do Hun x

Join a union. They aren't allowed to discriminate because you are pregnant. I know your boss won't have told you that's the reason but circumstantial evidence can support you taking them to a tribunal if it gets that far. I had to do similar things with my work. Unions are quite cheap depending on how much you earn and they will give you advice and help and support you if you decide to take it further. Depending on which sector you work in there's different unions, like unison, PCS, etc etc xx

So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls.
