That's EXACTLY how I was. Especially with my SO family. I was honestly so annoyed. I didn't want anyone there but me and my boyfriend. And I wanted my baby all too myself. I'm also still too this day a germ freak. None of his family respects that either so it pisses me off I keep her all too myself

My mom was in the room with me along with my husband when I had my son, hoping it will be the same this time around, but I of course held him first, then my husband, my mom held him probably about an hour or two after he was born. My dad, my sister and niece and nephew didn't come until the next day, which was fine with me. I had one friend visit(she actually worked at the hospital and was on lunch break) she didn't hold him but I would of been fine with it if she had wanted to. I guess it's all your personal wants.

I just flat out said no visitors besides my very close family! my MIL came to help with my older daughter, my dad came and his gf(whos closer to me than my mom) Those are the only people who have held my baby as well! All of my employees/coworkers wanted to come but I told them I had a rough labor and wasn't up for visitors

The only person that came to visit was our at home nurse. And no one has held our daughter besides her doctor, me, and her dad. When she hit three months a lady from church held her.
