there is always help to those in these situations. they have shelters made for women like those you described. not having those things is a cop out not making your life better. it's letting yourself be the victim. there is ALWAYS a way out in a safe way. @shann I know you agree. @shann, I would rather leave and struggle than have my kids grow up in dysfunction. If it's bad enough that I can complain and cry to strangers who can't help, it's serious enough to pick myself up and do the needful. Gotta get a backbone somewhere. All that verbal becomes physical, and ain't a thing sadder than seeing a woman hurt or killed because it was easier said than done. I probably seem harsh BUT I'm also that friend who tries to be the escape route. My home is always open, and I truly do try to help out whenever possible, because while I haven't lived it, I've lost people to it. I'll never respect one who stays but makes a point of crying about it. That's self destruction. Some guys are dicks...so fuck them. (Excuse my German.)
